Welcome to the Alligator Capital of the World! Adventure lies around every corner at this classic “old Florida” attraction. Home to thousands of alligators and crocodiles, Gatorland is a 110-acre theme park and nature conservatory of wild fun.

Having begun in 1949 as a roadside attraction, Gatorland has since grown into a Central Florida attraction staple. The park is entirely based around Florida’s well-known mascot, the Florida alligator. The surrounding swamp lands and breeding marshes of Gatorland are home to thousands of alligators, crocodiles, and other creatures. View these animals in their natural habitats of the Florida wetlands from boardwalks, towers, and more. Gatorland gives a unique spin on these natural surroundings, by turning them into an educational and entertaining display for guests of all ages.

At the entertaining shows of the park, guests can see animal care takers interact with amazing creatures. See gator wrestlers as they take-on six to eight foot alligators at the Gator Wrestlin’ Show. Make sure you don’t miss the one-of-a-kind Gator Jumparoo Show, where you can see some of the largest alligators in the world jump four to five feet out of the water to retrieve tasty gator snacks. At the Upclose Encounters Show, see alligators and some of Florida’s other wild creatures, including some of the most dangerous snakes alive. And, a must-see for children and parents alike is the Critters on the Go Show. At this new entertainment experience, guests can experience the softer side of the park, getting to interact with cute and cuddly critters.

To get an up-close-and-personal experience with the animals at the park, guests can visit the many exhibits that the park has to offer. Head to the Very Merry Aviary where you can interact with brightly colored lorikeet parrots! This is a perfect photo opportunity for visiting guests and an intimate bird encounter for animal lovers. Visit Allie’s Barnyard to play with barnyard critters, such as goats, chickens, ducks, deer, sheep, and more. And, there are plenty of opportunities to pet and even hold alligators and other animals!
