Busch Gardens has been making family-vacation memories since it first opened in 1959. Originally opened as a bird garden and hospitality center, Busch Gardens has since grown to the number one tourist destination in the Tampa area. The newest addition to the park is SheiKra, a coaster with a 200 foot climb, followed by a 90-degree drop. Guests will fly at top speeds of 70 mph on this unforgettable ride! Other monster coasters include classics such as Gwazi, Kumba, Montu, and Scorpion. If roller coasters are not your thing, there are plenty of other rides and attractions for you. If you are looking for wild water rides, check out Stanley Falls log flume ride, Tanganyika Tidal Wave, and the Congo River Rapids raft ride. Kids will love the 1.5 acre area of Land of the Dragons, where they can play along on fun-sized rides, just for them! And, KaTonga is a 35 minute Broadway-esque production, sending guests on a journey into the heart of African animal folklore that the whole family will enjoy!

Along with the rides and shows, the animals of the park are a top attraction at the park. Within the park, there are numerous opportunities to get up-close with exotic animals of giraffes, rhinos, gazelle, alligators, zebras, chimpanzees, orangutans, lions, and, even, the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses! Rhino Rally allows guests of the park to take a wild jeep tour through the wild African terrain as they see animals in their natural surroundings. Jungala, the newly opened area of the park, offers a lush Congo area where guests can interact with lions, tigers, and more. If you want the ultimate animal experience, the Serengeti area offers safaris to go feed giraffes and see animals up-close. And, make sure to visit the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses, where you can pet, take pictures with, and see these beautiful American icons.

At Busch Gardens, stay for the encore every night this summer at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay! The adventure park hosts Summer Nights June 11 through Aug. 15. Kinetix explodes onto the stage in Gwazi Park each night with live musicians, singers, dancers and artists from around the world in a non-stop 30-minute contemporary rock experience. Jeff Civillico returns with his masterful juggling performances. Fireworks light up the sky July 3 and 4. Summer Nights is included with any park admission.
