It’s no surprise Orlando is the city to visit if you want a one-of-a-kind theme park experience. From Walt Disney World® to Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, Legoland Florida and more there’s certainly no shortage of theme park entertainment in Central Florida. And with all of the excitement of Orlando’s many theme parks we sometimes forget there are other thrilling attractions the city has to offer, like Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba for example.

While technically still a Walt Disney World® attraction, La Nouba is far from the typical magic you’ll experience at any one of Disney’s® four parks, although it’s nothing short of magical itself. Located in Downtown Disney® in the first-ever permanent building built specifically for the show, La Nouba mixes mesmerizing acrobatic performances with the magic of make-believe for an astonishing show of imagination you won’t soon forget.

The production gets its name from the French phrase “faire la nouba,” which means to party or to live it up, and that’s exactly what you’ll experience as La Nouba takes you on an unforgettable journey where two worlds collide and the extraordinary overcomes the ordinary.

La Nouba begins as two worlds, the Cirques (circus people), sporting bright, fluorescent colors and the Urbains (urbanites), who wear dark, monochromatic outfits run into each other. Soon the magic and amazing feats of the Cirques set fire to the humdrum of the Urbains and a hilarious and thrilling show ensues.

The story is told in nine different acts complete with whimsical characters, music, acting, choreography and unbelievable acrobatics. And in each act guests will marvel at the incredible feats of athleticism, grace and strength these characters perform during the 90-minute production. The nine acts include high-flying trapeze artists, jugglers, a 90-feet long high wire performance suspended above several stories, BMX-worthy cycling performances and tricks, a balancing act that will have you on the edge of your seat, jaw-dropping powertrack and trampoline acrobatics and so much more. But perhaps the most popular act in the entire show is the four pint-sized performers who do tricks with diablos, two sticks that are linked by a string with a wooden spool that bounces and flies through the air the entire time with incredible precision. And best of all the 1,700-seat theater ensures each and every guest a spectacular view of the festive and imaginative show.
