After just two months of being opened, Legoland Florida finds itself in the middle of the holiday season! And to show the rest of Orlando how festive they can be, the theme park is celebrating the holidays LEGO-style during their first annual Christmas Bricktacular! The special holiday event that began on Dec. 5 and runs through the end of the year, features festive decorations and sounds of the season throughout The Beginning and Fun Town parts of the park.

Guests will be able to marvel at a special LEGO Christmas tree that’s more than 30 feet tall, made entirely from a combination of 270,000 forest green LEGO and DUPLO bricks at The Beginning. The park’s first ever tree lighting ceremony took place on Dec. 5 with a special master of ceremonies. Olympic Hurdler David Oliver who wowed the crowd with a high-flying entrance that included hurdles helped to “jump-start” the first-ever Legoland Florida Christmas Bricktacular by lighting the tree alongside park General Manager Adrian Jones and Santa Claus himself.

And speaking of St. Nick, if you haven’t had the chance to get your kid’s picture taken with the jolly old man don’t worry he will be appearing daily in Legoland Florida’s historical botanical gardens.

The park will choose a new family each night to assist with the lighting of the Bricktacular tree form now until Dec. 31. If you want to be the lucky family that gets to help light the spectacular Christmas tree you might want to get to Legoland Florida’s Bricktacular event soon as the theme park will be closed Dec. 13-14.

On Dec. 31 the park will also celebrate Kids’ New Year’s Eve with fireworks at midnight KST (Kid Standard Time) otherwise known as 7 p.m. PST (Parent’s Standard Time).

And the best part of Legoland Florida’s Christmas Bricktacular is it’s included in park admission!
