SeaWorld Orlando is getting into the Christmas spirit this holiday season with music and entertainment-filled nights the whole family will enjoy. From impromptu street musicians to elaborate stage performances and brand new holiday shows SeaWorld Orlando’s 2011 Christmas Celebration just may be the most exciting one yet, and it’s all included with theme park admission!

Guests have been able to enjoy the Christmas entertainment at SeaWorld on the weekends since Thanksgiving but beginning Dec. 16 through the end of the year, the holiday festival takes over the theme park nightly!

Seaworld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration offers a variety of entertainment but it’s the emphasis on music and the celebration of the true spirit and story of Christmas that sets it apart from other Orlando theme park holiday events. And what exactly will you see this year at SeaWorld Orlando’s Christmas Celebration? The better question is what won’t you see?

A returning favorite from 2010, the Sea of Trees has been expanded this year to include 100 massive trees around the park’s center lake, each sparkling, lighted and choreographed to holiday tunes with programmed performances scheduled a few times per night.

New for 2011 is the show “O Wondrous Night,” performed in the indoor Nautilus Theater. Billed as showing “The Greatest Story Never Told,” “O Wondrous Night” presents a spin on the classic Christmas story with a focus on animals, both as talking puppets and love on stage. A talented choir of Herald Angels who sing familiar Christmas songs accompanies the animals and actors. The show mixes in a little comedy, but the main focus lies on the story and well-choreographed song-and-dance routines with more than 30 carols performed.

For a more spontaneous Christmas number, Seaworld Orlando offers more than a few musical acts throughout the streets. The Groove Chefs literally bang out tunes like “Jingle Bells” on pots, pans and grills.

There’s also a live three-piece rock band that plays similar hits with a Latin flair. A saxophone quartet performs 1-minute versions of both religious and non-religious Christmas songs and just outside the Nautilus Theater a quartet of a capella singers offer similar songs using their voices as instruments. The routine includes guest interaction with “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer” and some other playful songs.

In addition to the music comes Winter Wonderland on Ice. Set to familiar Christmas songs, a large cast of ice skaters perform a variety of routines and costume changes the whole family will love!

Following Winter Wonderland on Ice SeaWorld Orlando lights up the night with Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale. Watch as the fountains dance and the sky fills with colorful streaks of holiday colors to end the spectacular evening.
