Skyplex adds SkyJump to its list of record breaking rides and attractions

Forever on the quest to bring the ultimate thrills to its riders, SKYPLEX has announced its 6th major attraction to the International Drive complex, SkyJump, a free fall dive from the top of the Skyscraper Tower.

The new thrill experience allows guests to jump from a small platform and free fall 500-feet above the ground. Think bungee jumping but without the bounce back.

"The attractions for Skyplex are some of the most innovating in the world," said developer Josh Wallack in a press release. "The world’s tallest roller coaster, the world’s tallest drop ride and now we’re launching an experience that feels like you are flying."

Orlando’s SkyJump will be the east coast installment of a similar attraction in Las Vegas at the Stratosphere.

SkyJump is the latest SKYPLEX attraction that includes a thrilling portfolio of like the 501-foot Skyscraper polercoaster, the 450-foot Skyfall drop tower, a 600-foot Skyfly zip line, the Skysurf park, the SkyLedge thrill experience, and other features like a 450-room hotel and the SkyPlaza retail/dining area.

Skyplex is expected to open sometime in 2019. Stay tuned to Best of Orlando for more details.
