Disney Unveils new Annie Leibovitz Disney Dream Portraits

Are Russell Brand, Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segal the new faces of Disney ®? Sort of, but not in the way you may think. The four funnymen all appear in Annie Leibovitz’s latest images in the Disney Dreams Portrait series, with each one playing the roles of famous Disney ® characters. And for the first time in her portraits, the characters have all originated in Walt Disney World’s ® parks!

Just over five years ago, Walt Disney World ® expanded their magic and added famed photographer Annie Leibovitz to their team to head up the park’s newest project, Disney Dream Portraits. The idea was to depict big-name celebrities in scenes from classic Disney ® movies. And what she’s created since beginning this journey has been astonishing!

March last year, Leibovitz unveiled her latest creations, which featured Olivia Wilde, Alec Baldwin, Penelope Cruz, Jeff Bridges and Queen Latifah all as characters from three of Disney’s biggest movies including ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘The Little Mermaid.’

Baldwin and Wilde were teamed up in the recreation of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ photograph entitled “Famed Is Thy Beauty” with Baldwin as the Spirit in the Magic Mirror and Wilde as the Evil Queen. The caption reads, “Where magic speaks, even when you’re not the fairest of them all.”

Cruz and Bridges were the couple we couldn’t’ take out eyes off of as they paired beautifully in the recreation of the final scene in ‘Beauty and the Beast.” That caption reads, “Where a moment of beauty lasts forever.”

Finally, Queen Latifah lunges into the sea as the mean villain Ursula from “The Little Mermaid” with a caption that reads, “Where memories take hold and never let go.”

It’s been more than a year since Leibovitz has unveiled another portrait but Best of Orlando is proud to announce that the acclaimed photographer has just added Russell Brand, Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segal to her repertoire.

The funny Brit Russell Brand stars as Peter Pan’s nemesis, Captain Hook, who has been photographed narrowly escaping the sharp teeth of the hungry crocodile that has been hunting him for years. The caption reads, “Where every moment leaves you hungry for more.”

While not a classic Disney ® movie, the Haunted Mansion is a classic Disney ® attraction, which is why Leibovitz saw fit to use it as her next Disney Dream Portrait with Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segal as the three ghosts Phineas, Ezra and Gus. The caption reads, “Where you can go on the ride of your afterlife.”

Stay tuned for more of Leibovitz Disney Dream Portraits and as always you can enjoy the characters and movies Leibovitz recreates with discounted Walt Disney World ® tickets right here on Best of Orlando.
