Walt Disney World ® is expanding the romance of Valentine’s Day from a day to a full week this year with its True Love Week from Feb. 11 through Feb. 17. The seven-day celebration is a part of Disney’s ® new Limited Time Magic and will include meet-and-greets with Disney ® princes and princesses, pink castles, candlelit dinners and much more.
Like everything Walt Disney World ® does, True Love Week will completely immerse visitors in the magic Disney ® offers, but with a special romantic twist. Guests will feel the love everywhere they go at the Magic Kingdom ® as heart-shaped signage and décor intertwine guests in the romance of the love holiday and limited-edition pins, plush dolls, newly-designed apparel and Vinylmation specific to Valentine’s Day will be available to remember the week by.
Every night at dusk, Cinderella Castle will light up in hues of pink, red, lavender and blue with themed lighting synchronized to music adding to the romance of the park. In Town Square, guests will be able to meet-and-greet with the famous mouse couple Mickey and Minnie, as well as Aurora with Philip or Rapunzel with Flynn. Mary Poppins will be joining Bert in New Fantasyland, while Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana will greet guests in the Enchanted Glade in Liberty Square. New Fantasyland will also be spreading the love with hearts and flowers that adorn Cinderella’s Wishing Well and Cinderella’s Glass Coach will be on display by the new castle wall. The Rose Garden, which is pretty romantic any time of year, will also be decked out in Valentine’s décor.
And for that romantic candlelit dinner, True Love Week will include two prix fixe menus at select restaurants. Artist Point at Disney’s ® Wilderness Lodge Resort; The Wave at Disney’s Contemporary Resort; Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ®; and Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will all cook up specially created menus perfect for a romantic evening.
