February is for Foodies in Orlando

Attention all food-lovers: February in Orlando is prime time to sample new delicious dishes, taste fine wines and drink craft beer. From local food festivals to some of the biggest theme park events of the year, now’s the best time to be hungry! Here's our list of the top spots to try in Orlando this month.

Orlando Chili Cook-Off
This local event has been bringing the heat since 2009. Sample chili from more than 100 booths cooked by talented local chefs. Other entertainment includes live music, cooking demonstrations, games, vendors and an interactive kids zone. The event is on Saturday, February 17 at Festival Park (2911 Robinson St. Orlando) from noon to 6pm, rain or shine.

Field to Feast
The best chefs of Walt Disney World are serving up locally sourced dishes along with wine, beer and cocktail pairings, in this popular charity event. It’s on February 17 at Long & Scott Farms, (26216 County Road 448A in Zellwood) and runs from 3pm  to 6pm.  All guests must be 21 or older to take part in this special tasting event. All of the proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Kids Cafe which helps provide healthy meals to disadvantaged children throughout Central Florida.
