Fun Spot Adds New Wooden Roller Coaster, VR Freedom Flyer

Coming summer 2017 is an all-new wooden roller coaster at Fun Spot America

Some big news is coming out of Fun Spot today. The, Kissimmee attraction announced a new wooden roller coaster just for Fun Spot America’s Kissimmee location.  

Thanks to a deal with The Gravity Group, an American based company out of Cincinnati, Ohio, Fun Spot is able to bring even more thrills to the park!

"This is HUGE news not just for us but the city of Kissimmee as this will be the only wooden roller coaster in the southeast United States that will feature a 360 degree barrel roll. This roller coaster will be completely unique and thrilling, we have worked tirelessly with the Gravity Group to design a ride that will be a must ride coaster for any thrill seeker and coaster enthusiast, definitely bucket list worthy. We are still working through the Theming, naming rights and sponsorship opportunities but with over Two million visitors to our parks each year we do expect to move forward quickly on these opportunities. This is HUGE news for all of us in this community as we all continue to raise the bar and level of expectations when guests visit our city. Let's Make America Fun Again!” said John Arie Jr, Fun Spot America's CEO in a press release.  

The roller coaster, which is expected to open in summer of 2017, will have a track that is 2256 feet long, 82 feet high, have a first drop of 80.5 feet, 11 different air times and a top speed of 48.5.

Freedom Flyer can now be experience in virtual reality

In addition to the new wooden roller coaster, Fun Spot America is also updating the Freedom Flyer ride with a new virtual reality experience. The state-of-the-art virtual reality experience was developed by VR Coaster and is sure to add a whole new element of fun to the ride.
