Halloween is still a few months away but that doesn’t mean you can’t begin planning for the horror-filled holiday. Each year, Central Florida plays host to some pretty terrifying events, and this year is no different, as the area prepares to bring the ghastliest sights, sounds and sinister creatures to life.
Busch Gardens Tampa recently released details about its annual Halloween haunt Howl-O-Scream. While we don’t know the theme for this year’s event, we do know that “creatures will be riding alongside the brave, thrill-seeking guests.” Howl-O-Scream is scheduled for 19 select nights September 22 through October 29, 2017.
So far only one haunted house has been announced: Motel Hell. Inside this deserted motel is the paranormal presence of the former owners, and they aren’t very welcoming. Despite attempts to tear it down, the motel still stands and everyone who enters will encounter their worst nightmares.
There will be a total of seven haunted houses including at least a couple new ones. Guests can also expect to get in some screams on Busch Gardens Tampa’s thrill rides like Cobra’s Curse, Cheetah Hunt, and North America’s tallest freestanding drop tower, Falcon’s Fury.
The complete Howl-O-Scream schedule is as follows:
Friday, September 22 – Saturday, September 23
Friday, September 29 – Saturday, September 30
Friday, October 6 – Sunday, October 8
Thursday, October 12 – Sunday, October 15
Thursday, October 19 – Sunday, October 22
Thursday, October 26 – Sunday, October 29
The event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on scheduled nights. Dates and times are subject to change. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
