Your iFly Indoor Skydiving adventure actually begins in a classroom where you’ll watch a safety video and learn some fundamental skills for body flight as well as some hand signals you’ll want to remember for your flight. Your instructor will also educate you on the science and safety behind the wind tunnel technology, including how the high-powered fans blow air upward in a cylindrical column, making for the closest thing you’ll get to actually skydiving. Once you’ve completed your classroom session you’ll gear up for the high-flying adventure with some knee pads, elbow pads, ear plugs, goggles, a helmet and a flight suit.
After you’re educated on the science and safety of iFly your flight begins in what looks like a giant bubble. Inside the bubble are the vertical wind tunnels that will be used to lift you up and into the air. These wind tunnels are equipped with multiple fans located at the top of the flight chamber that produce a wall-to-wall airflow that make for one smooth flight. With your safety gear on and your hand signals ready all you have to do is stand in front of the tunnel and wait for the wind to pull you up for an exhilarating journey you won’t believe.
