Some new splashes are heading to SeaWorld Orlando in 2018. The Orlando theme park recently announced a thrilling rapids adventure that will roar through the brand new rainforest river experience called Infinity Falls!

“We are constantly looking at new ways to amaze our guests – Infinity Falls will do that, and more,” said Jim Dean, President of SeaWorld Orlando Parks in a statement. “From the excitement of the thrilling rapids, to the unique vertical lift element, it will be an adventure that appeals to the entire family. Infinity Falls continues our commitment to investing in our park, and developing new ways to entertain and inspire our guests with meaningful, fun-filled vacations.”

Riders will experience category four rapids and then an elevator lift that will take rafts 40 feet up before dropping them into the river, which the park is calling the world’s tallest drop on a river rapids ride.

It will be the centerpiece of a new rainforest area, which includes animals native to South America, as well as other interactive, educational activities. Infinity Falls features 1,520 feet of track with 14 rafts and 8 adventurers per raft.

"The entire family can explore the village and take part in interactive experiences that combine play with education to create a positive impact on freshwater ecosystems," SeaWorld said in a news release.

Infinity Falls is scheduled to open in summer 2018. Stay tuned for more details.
