People are always asking, “When is the best time to visit Orlando theme parks for low wait times? Is it after the rush of summer? After the holidays? Whenever there isn’t a three-day holiday weekend?” Well, Best of Orlando is here to answer all of your questions and you’ll be surprised to hear when the best time to visit actually is!
With the busy summer months behind us and the holidays looming ahead, it may seem like you just missed the perfect window for an Orlando theme park visit. But believe it or not, there is no better time than right now to head to the theme park mecca of the world. There are two big reasons. At this time, we just entered the calm before the holiday storm. Many families wait for the holiday season during December or Thanksgiving week, so crowds at Magic Kingdom, Islands of Adventure, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, and other theme parks are lower during November (except Thanksgiving week.) If you plan your vacation during the first weeks of November, expect to do more in less time. The second reason why November is a great month to go to Orlando theme parks is the weather. Florida isn’t too hot and isn’t too cold; the weather is just right.
Beginning tomorrow, Halloween will be officially over; the kids will still be in school and nobody will have started traveling for the holidays yet. So from now until Thanksgiving week is your chance to capitalize on historically low crowds. And what’s better, there are plenty of exciting holiday events beginning to get you in the holiday. In fact, several parks begin their seasonal parties and celebrations in the next few weeks. So what are you waiting for?
Walt Disney World ® will be celebrating the magic of the season with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party beginning Nov. 9. Families can get into the holiday spirit Disney ® style with a spectacular fireworks display, a lively holiday parade, live entertainment, Disney ® character meet-and-greet opportunities, hot cocoa and cookies and even snow fall on Main Street U.S.A.!

Guests will be able to enjoy a winter wonderland full of everything you love about Christmas with a special SeaWorld twist! Take a journey to the North Pole on The Polar Express Experience, get lost in the sparkling Sea of Trees, marvel at the gorgeous ice skaters performing around you, watch stunning live animal shows and even catch a glimpse of Old Saint Nick himself!
