Meet Po from Kung Fu Panda at Islands of Adventure

Meet Kung Fu Panda’s Po at Islands of Adventure

Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, Universal’s Islands of Adventure is adding a new character meet-and-greet. Po, the star of the Kung Fu Panda franchise, began greeting guests earlier this month, and now you can see him at the park!

Universal acquired DreamWorks and its library back in April of last year. With Kung Fu Panda, NBC Universal also received Madagascar, How to Train your Dragon and many more films and characters.

This past Christmas, Universal welcomed other DreamWorks characters from Madagascar and Shrek as they walked in the popular Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios.

Currently, guests can meet Gru, his girls and his many minions from the Despicable Me franchise in the Superstar Parade. The characters are fun to dance along with during the parade and then afterward, you can actually meet them. Meanwhile, Shrek Fiona and Donkey can be spotted outside the Shrek 4D attraction at Universal Studios. Donkey is definitely the highlight of this meet-and-greet but is only available at certain times.

Guests can expect a much bigger presence from DreamWorks and its many characters at Universal Orlando in the coming years.

While you wait for more DreamWorks characters, don’t miss Po at Islands of Adventure. Maybe he’ll even show you some of his kung fu moves! As always you can find discounted Islands of Adventure tickets here on Best of Orlando.
