Your ride in and around Walt Disney World is about to get a lot more exciting. The Orlando theme park recently announced new transportation options for guests, and they are as magical as you’d expect them to be.
Minnie Van Service
Guests at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts can now reserve their own private Minnie Mouse-themed van from their smartphone. Once you arrange a Minnie van, a Disney cast member will arrive and drive you anywhere you want to go within the resort. It is the Disney version of Uber and Lyft transportation services.
The 2017 Chevy Traverse transports up to six guests. Riders will enjoy Disney music as they are taken to their destination. The Minnie vans also come with car seats that are ready for the littlest riders, and they can also accommodate wheelchairs and scooters. Cost is $20 per trip.
Take a ride in the sky on the new Disney Skyliner. The new transportation system will connect Epcot’s International Gateway to Disney’s Hollywood Studios along with Pop Century, Caribbean Beach and Art of Animation Resorts. The system consists of three separate lines that all converge at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Many of the gondolas will feature favorite Disney characters. The transportation system is estimated to open in Fall 2019. Stay tuned for more details on transportation at Walt Disney World.
