Dopey is ready for the opening of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train opening at the new Fantasyland in Disney’s Magic Kingdom ® is getting close and to celebrate its soon-to-be arrival Best of Orlando has some exciting news to share about the new roller coaster ride and its queue.

There has been a lot of talk about the new ride and how it will take riders through the mine “where a million diamonds shine” from the classic Disney ® film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” but there hasn’t been much about the ride’s queue, that is until now.

The queue will feature new interactive elements for guests including a jewel sorting station. In this station jewels will fly by in a 15-foot wooden sluice. As they do guests will be able to drag them into different trays, matching them by color and shape. This station also allows guests to create the “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” melody by simply moving from one spigot to the next. There are a total of 12 spigots, inspired by the Dwarfs’ woodland friends, that each match to the notes of a musical scale.

Adding to the experience will be boxes of glittering gem buckets that will light the area with an array of glowing colors.

As far as the ride goes, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will tell the story of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” from the perspective of the Dwarfs, taking riders on an indoor-outdoor trip, with the first ever side swaying cars that respond to every twist and turn in the ride. The attraction will also feature music from the classic Disney ® film as well as Audio-Animatronics of the Dwarfs, Snow White and the Witch as well as other characters from the movie. Next to the recent news of the interactive queue, the Seven Dwarfs Mine train Audio-Animatronics are also adding to the excitement of the ride’s opening.

According to the official Disney Parks Blog, the Audio-Animatronics of the Dwarfs are the most advanced of their kind ever created by Walt Disney Imagineering. Videos recently revealed the Dwarf’s faces and movements and you won’t believe just how real they look.

Stay tuned for more details on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride, its interactive queue and is official opening date, which could be in just a few weeks. In the meantime you can always check on the construction with discounted Walt Disney World ® tickets right here on Best of Orlando.
