Typically New Year’s Eve is an adult-only holiday with late-night parties, drinks and kisses when the ball drops at midnight. But this year LEGOLAND Florida is letting the kids enjoy all of the fun of celebrating another year kids-style with not one but two different parties, Countdown to Kids’ New Year’s Eve and Kid’s New Year’s Eve!  Both parties will let families say goodbye to 2012 and hello to 2013 with kid-friendly events like fireworks, live shows and even the ball drop!

Sometimes Dec. 26 is the saddest day of the year for kids, but at LEGOLAND Florida it doesn’t have to be with the start of Countdown to Kid’s New Year’s Eve. Beginning Dec. 26 through Dec. 30 LEGOLAND Florida will start the New Year’s Eve festivities early! Kids can enjoy nightly fireworks displays with special 3D viewing glasses that turn ordinary fireworks into millions of exploding bricks! There will also be a special New Year’s Eve themed live-action show with LEGO Friends Characters in Pirate’s Cove Stadium featured each night throughout the five-day celebration.

Then on Dec. 31 families can countdown to 2013 with more New Year’s Eve festivities including a live DJ Dance Party at Miniland U.S.A., a grand finale featuring a live-action show, more explosive LEGO fireworks and even a chance to watch the ball, or shall we say BRICK drop! But don’t worry mom and dad your kids won’t have to stay up until midnight for that one. The BRICK drop will take place well before the kids nod off to sleep - midnight KST (Kid Standard Time) or otherwise known as 6 p.m. EST.

And before we say goodbye to 2012 kids can also enjoy their own Christmas Celebration during LEGOLAND Florida’s Christmas Bricktacular event. Every Saturday and Sunday from now through the end of the month, guests to LEGOLAND Florida can celebrate the season with plenty of holiday themed activities including a 30-foot tall LEGO Christmas tree at the entrance to the park, a Santa scavenger hunt in Miniland U.S.A., a LEGO Model Build Activity where families can help put together a 20-foot-tall Christmas tree in the Wells Fargo Fun Town 4D Theatre Plaza, meet-and-greet opportunities with LEGO Santa and LEGO Toy Soldiers and lots of festive decorations, music and entertainment the entire family is sure to love.

Let the kids enjoy their own New Year’s Eve festivities this year during Countdown to Kid’s New Year’s Eve and Kid’s New Year’s Eve with discounted tickets to LEGOLAND Florida right here on Best of Orlando.
