USA Network’s Dig: Escape the Room at Universal Orlando

Love a good mystery? Love SOLVING a good mystery? Well now you can experience both thanks to the new mystery event series Dig: Escape the Room at Universal Orlando

Promoting the upcoming USA TV show, “Dig,” this temporary installation will give guests the chance to solve an epic mystery, while trapped inside a room. The network has teamed up with Escape the Room, the interactive game, to create a unique experience that will only be at the Orlando theme park now through March 8.

Here’s how it works:

In order to play you must first visit Universal Studios Studio Audience Center to reserve a time slot. A minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 guests will enter the room where your wits will be put to the test. You’ll be given 30 minutes to unlock the clues, solve puzzles and find a way to escape the room! The attraction was created in partnership with Escape the Room NYC.

Dig: Escape the Room is set up in the Disaster attraction queue. After receiving a quick introduction and watching a teaser for the TV show, guests are locked inside and told to do whatever they need to do to escape.

There isn’t a ton in the room, but it does take some attention to detail to find the clues, which include locks, keys, books and props that can be used to escape. If you do get stuck, subtle hints will appear on TV monitors throughout the room.

The temporary attraction is proving to be a big hit amongst Universal guests. On its first day, it filled all available time slots within a couple of hours of the park being open. If you’d like to try and escape the room we recommend you get there early to ensure a spot. Dig: Escape the Room is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day through March 8.

USA Network’s Dig is a ten-part television event set in the holy city of Jerusalem. Peter Connelly, an FBI agent recently stationed there begins investigating the murder of a young American, he discovers an international conspiracy thousands of years in the making. The cast includes Jason Isaacs, as Peter and Anne Heche as Lynn Monohan, Peter’s boss. Dig premieres on Thursday, March 5 on USA Network.
