Well, you can at the attraction Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ®. This multi-media gallery exhibit showcases rare artifacts and a 15-minute film that helps us all better understand the man behind the mouse: Walt Disney.

Specially created to commemorate Walt Disney’s 100th birthday, Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream takes guests on a historical adventure showcasing the career of Walt Disney World, from childhood to his early creations and subsequently his career success. Along the way you’ll be introduced to his many achievements some well-known and some you may have never heard of before.

Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream begins with a self guided tour through over 400 artifacts featuring one-of-a-kind animation art, paintings, storyboards, photos, models, props, costumes and set pieces including Walt Disney’s 2nd grade school desk, audio and film clips with unseen footage and interviews with Walt, vintage Disney ® toys and merchandise, “Granny Kincaid’s Cabin,” Walt’s first attempt at a 3D miniature environment, “The Dancing Man,” Walt’s first animated figure, the original Audio-Animatronics Abraham Lincoln figure from the 1964 New York World’s Fair, Mickey Mouse Club props and costumes, Mary Poppins costumes and much more.

After you’ve marveled at the many costumes, props, never-before-seen footage and merchandise, you have the opportunity to watch a 15-minute film hosted by Mary Poppins herself, Julie Andrews!

Using rare audio recordings, guests are able to relive the life and times of Walt Disney in this unique film. Listen as Walt recounts his story through film footage and home movies never before available to the public. The film is a touching memorial to the man who has created so much joy for families around the world over the years.

The film tribute is played in the theater at the back of the exhibition gallery every 15 minutes throughout the day.

And here’s a plus – Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream is an attraction that’s easy to fit into your busy day as there is rarely a line for it. It’s a great place to stop in while you’re waiting for your FASTPASS time or just taking a break between thrill rides. If you do make a stop make sure you give yourself plenty of time. You could easily spend 30 minutes roaming the gallery before you even watch the film.
