Museum of Science and Industry

How would you like to be “blown away?” Maybe have your head in the clouds or suspended three stories above the ground? Take some time during your Orlando vacation to visit MOSI in Tampa, Florida to experience the wonders of science for yourself.

With tickets from BestofOrlando.com, you’ll find yourself in a facility that boasts over 400,000 square feet of permanent interactive exhibits. Explore 3D Printing the Future with live demonstrations and hands-on 3D printing to catch a glimpse of the future. Take a ride on a bicycle that’s suspended 30 feet above the ground with the High Wire Bike. Experience an Adrenaline-Fueled Adventure on MOSI’s Sky Trail® Ropes Course & Zip Line. Or you can step into the BioWorks Butterfly Garden to see free-flying butterflies up close as they dance through the air on their way to fee on Florida-Friendly nectar plants.

MOSI also has the young scientists at the forefront of fun with Kids in Charge! This specially designed space is geared for kids 12 and under to bring together play, imagination and creative thinking with permanent and limited time exhibits in a 40,000 square feet area -- the largest children’s science center in the United States.

And if you want to catch a movie, MOSI has you covered with the only IMAX®  Dome Theatre in the Southeast! This separately ticketed item features seats that tilt slightly upward to give you a view of the domed roof that projects images that are 10 times larger than conventional 35mm frame and three times as big as the standard 70mm frame. The result is films that are so clear and so immersive that you’ll swear you’re in the movie yourself!
