Skull Island: Reign of Kong – The most anticipated attraction in Orlando in 2016 is Skull Island: Reign of Kong at Universal Orlando. The high-tech ride will travel deep inside the jungle island home of the gigantic ape. Before you even see the colossal beast you’ll make contact with the unruly natives of the island. Then things get wild as King Kong comes in to save the day.
Frozen Ever After – Walt Disney World’s Frozen Fever is spilling into Epcot with the new ride "Frozen Ever After." Based on the "Frozen" film, the new boat ride will take visitors to Arendelle and Elsa's ice palace during a Winter in Summer celebration. The attraction replaces the Maelstrom water ride in the Norway pavilion. Along the way riders will get to meet the movie’s characters and sing-along to its hit songs.
River of Lights/Nighttime Safari – Disney's Animal Kingdom will get the most changes in 2016 with the new River of Lights nighttime show that will combine show elements of Fantasmic! with new fountain technology. Meanwhile, Kilimanjaro Safaris will be opening a new evening safari featuring two new animals and unique lighting that simulates a sunset glow.
Mako – The 200-foot-tall Mako coaster coming to SeaWorld Orlando in 2016 will be the centerpiece of a new shark-themed area of the park. Created to mimic the speeds of the Mako shark, Mako will hit speeds of up to 73 miles per hour and feature nine airtime hills and a custom-made musical score. It will be Orlando’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster!
Cobra's Curse – An ancient curse is coming to Busch Gardens Tampa in 2016. The park will unveil Cobra's Curse where guests will come face-to-face with an 80-foot-tall serpent statue. It all begins when you climb an elevator-style lift hill and take a whirlwind adventure through exciting explorations. Besides the serpent, other highlights of Cobra's Curse are a trek over Serengeti Plain and an Egyptian archeological excavation.
