China’s Lion Dancers are a fun way to celebrate the Chinese holiday tradition

Explore holiday traditions from around the world at Epcot during Holidays Around the World. Every year, the Disney theme park invites guests to listen to The Storytellers (often referred to as Santa’s) sharing traditions of Christmas from their country. Each Storyteller provides an excellent demonstration of holiday celebrations around the world. Let’s take a closer look at some of the most popular:

1.China Lion Dancers – The China pavilion comes to life with the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. The Lion Dance is said to     bring good fortune and happiness to all in honor of major holidays such as the lunar New Year and Lantern Festival.
Visit the Mexico pavilion for a celebration of Fiesta de Navidad

2.Mexico – Fiesta de Navidad – With a mariachi band and elaborate dance, the Mexico pavilion brings the Fiesta de Navidad to life in a beautiful and unforgettable inspired performance.

3.Germany Helga and Nutcracker – Many of our modern day Christmas traditions started in Germany like the Christmas tree and Nutcracker. Learn more about both and other holiday traditions at the Germany pavilion.

4.Italy - La Befana – La Befana is Italy’s good Christmas witch. Much like Santa, she comes down from the chimney and leaves treats for the children.

5.France - Pere Noel – In France Pere Noel awaits you as he tells the story of little Babette and her wishes at Christmastime. Guests can share their wishes with Pere Noel too!

Epcot’s Holidays Around the World runs now through December 31, 2016.

There are many more Storytellers and pavilions to explore so make sure you head to Epcot for Holidays Around the World with discounted tickets to Walt Disney World right here on Best of Orlando.
