It’s Earth Day every day at Orlando theme parks, and this April you can continue the celebration of Earth’s many creatures and beauty with conservation efforts, parties, animals and more. Here is how to celebrate Earth Month in Orlando:

Walt Disney World
Disney Parks will celebrate Earth Month by showcasing their approach to environmental efforts. The Orlando theme park recently opened a 50-megawatt solar facility providing power to Walt Disney World to ongoing efforts to reduce single-use plastics. The park’s goal is to attain zero net greenhouse gas emissions and zero waster, while conserving water resources and reversing the decline of wildlife around the globe. Disney Parks include a global fleet of vehicles running on renewable and alternative fuels. Meanwhile, Disney-funded forestry projects are helping protect and restore natural ecosystems around the globe.

The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is another great way to celebrate Earth Day. The annual event runs now through June 3 and includes Earth’s most gorgeous flowers and greenery. What a way to see the beauty of this beautiful planet.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom enjoy a roaring good time with the park’s annual Earth Day Celebration Party for the Planet, April 20-22. The special three-day event invites guests to explore, engage and connect with the magic of nature through family-friendly experiences. Some of the things to see and do include a larger-than-life marine debris sculpture celebrating Disneynature “Penguins” in the Oasis. Animal care experts, animal educators and conservation experts will also be on hand throughout the event.

Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating Earth Day all weekend long. On Saturday, April 20, guests can learn about the major threat to animals in the wild and ways we can protect wildlife locally at several different stations. Inside the Animal Care Center will be the Conservation in Action series. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay environment experts will share some of their favorite projects supported by the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. On Sunday, April 21 enjoy more presentations in the Animal Care Center about Busch Gardens conservation efforts and how we can help at home. Monday includes a special Earth Day-themed animal enrichment session during scheduled Keeper Talks at Myombe Reserve, Edge of Africa and Jungle animal habitats.

Earth Day Celebration at Kennedy Space Center
On April 11, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will celebrate Earth Day with a variety of exhibitors to help promote eco-friendly and sustainable products, services and practices. Exhibitors include Butterfly Dan, Global Power Reduction, Polaris Industries, Georgia Tech Research Institute and many more. Throughout the day, guests can also enjoy a butterfly release in one of the butterfly gardens outside Nature & Technology.
