The biggest party of the year is just getting started at Universal Orlando and if you like wild parades, live concerts, authentic Cajun food and drink and all the beads you can catch, Universal’s Mardi Gras celebration is the place to party now through April 4. Here are five reasons to celebrate:

Live Concerts
On select nights, partygoers can watch some of the biggest names in music take the Music Plaza stage in Universal Studios Florida. Performers include:

Mardi Gras Parade
Get ready to unleash your inner wild side with this year’s parade theme - Party Animals. The nightly parade returns with beads, dancers, stilt performers and 12 floats, some of which are themed after animals from around the world including the jungle, arctic, swamp and more.

N’awlins Cajun Cuisine
Mardi Gras isn’t Mardi Gras without cajun cuisine. Make your way to The French Quarter Courtyard located in the New York area for authentic bite-sized Cajun favorites including jambalaya, shrimp gumbo, Andouille sausage, beignets and more.

Mardi Gras Drinks
After filling your belly with Mardi Gras favorites, quench your thirst with refreshing specialty beverages including slushies, craft beer and cocktails like the Ragin Rumbalaya, Carnival Cocktail and Vicious VooDoo.

Live Music & Entertainment
Pair your French Quarter food and drink with French Quarter beats. Catch authentic Big Easy bands including:
February 9 – 17: Dirty Bourbon River Show
February 18 – 27: Naughty Professor Brass Band
February 28 – March 18: Free Agents Brass Band featuring Honey Bannister
March 19 – April 4: New Breed Brass Band 

Additionally, the area will include stilt walkers, dancers, colorful parade characters and more meandering the streets.
