Lunar New Year is an annual tradition among Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. It celebrate the celestial journey of the sun and moon toward another year! 2020 is the Year of the Mouse, and to celebrate Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are getting in on the celebration at Disney Parks and global retailers.

Walt Disney World and released a Lunar New Year merchandise inspired by different cultures of East Asia. The collection includes Minnie Mouse ears, spirit jerseys, plush, and more!

Celebrating At Walt Disney World
The China pavilion in the World Showcase at Epcot is the perfect place to celebrate the Lunar New Year this year if you’re visiting Walt Disney World. The full line of Lunar New Year merchandise is available at the pavilion, including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plush, a spirit jersey, and more. 

Guests can also watch Candy Artist Wenbo Zhang create Sugar Paintings for a limited time at the China pavilion! Sugar Painting is a traditional Chinese candy art created by using sugar syrup to paint pictures of animals. Candy Artists Wenbo Zhang will be in Epcot until February 24, 2020! While you’re at Walt Disney World, don’t forget to spend some time taking in the offerings at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

Disneyland Resort is Anaheim has the Lunar New Year collection available at Seaside Souvenirs and Elias & Co. From hats and tees to spirit jerseys and plush, there’s something for everyone looking to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Disney California Adventure Park also holds a Lunar New Year celebration until February 9, 2020.

Hong Kong Disneyland is pulling out all of the stops with 50 new and exclusive merchandise pieces for the Lunar New Year! There are new Chinese New Year looks for Mickey and his friends, Year of the Mouse-themed Tsum Tsums, celebration home decor, and more. From now until February 9, 2020 Hong Kong Disneyland will be celebrating “Magical Year After Year” Chinese New Year events!

Shanghai Disney Resort is celebrating its Spring Festival through February 9, 2020.There’s a resort-wide festive makeover, Spring Festival dining, and the return of beloved Spring Festival entertainment!  A new Duffy and Friends merchandise collection has been released, featuring Duffy, ShellieMay, StellaLou, Gelatoni, and CookieAnn. The Mickey Family 2020 Spring Festival Collection is also available at Shanghai Disney Resort. This collection highlights the classic red and gold colors through headbands, outfits, megs, and more!
