A spectacular new show is coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle will debut January 31, 2018, and will run on select nights throughout 2018.

After the sun sets in Hogsmeade Village at Universal's Islands of Adventure, Hogwarts Castle will come to life with state-of-the-art projection mapping technology combined with special effects and brilliant lighting. Gaze up at the castle as it’s wrapped in a dazzling display of colorful imagery – set to the triumphant music of the Harry Potter films.

The show celebrates the four houses of Hogwarts. Cheer on as the majestic castle is transformed with the spirit and iconic elements of each house. You'll see Slytherin's dark and foreboding green, Hufflepuff's fun and swirly gold, the blue of Ravenclaw and the heroic fire of Gryffindor. The tower is emblazoned with the crest of each house during their portion of the show. And the show ends with a triumphant bang!

This is the second projection mapping show to debut at Universal Orlando. The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle opened last year along with the introduction of Holidays in The Wizarding World. That show brought memorable Christmas moments from the Harry Potter stories to life on the castle and will be returning later this year as well.

The new show officially begins on Wednesday, January 31, and will run on select nights throughout the year. Park guests will be able to preview the new show on January 27 and 28 as part of A Celebration of Harry Potter. Guests who have purchased A Celebration of Harry Potter vacation package will be the first to see the show on January 26. The show begins at dusk each evening and runs continuously until park close.

The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle run from January 31 until February 5, and February 7 to 12. More dates will be added in the future. Stay tuned to Best of Orlando for additional show dates and information throughout the year.
