Major updates are coming to the theater at Universal’s CityWalk, as the theater is transformed into Universal Cinemark this fall.

The upgrades will begin in September and will include new reclining Cinemark Luxury Loungers with extended footrests, cup holders and comfortable, plush seating.

The updates will also include a Cinemark XD auditorium. XD auditoriums feature wall-to-wall screens, multi-channel speakers with custom-engineers sound and state-of-the-art projection systems that can deliver 35 trillion colors. The XD auditorium will also have plush Luxury Lounger seating, the brightest digital images and the newest movies every week.

You can upgrade your movie-going experience by joining the Cinemark Movie Club, a monthly movie membership program that offers ticket and concession discounts, along with other exclusive benefits. You can join by simply downloading the Cinemark app.

This new theater is the start of a partnership between Universal Orlando and Cinemark Theatres, which operates more than 530 theaters around the world. The current Universal AMC Theater will close on Friday, Sept. 14 to prepare for the debut of Universal Cinemark.
