There’s a lot to look forward to this year at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! In addition to the record 75 days of the annual event this fall (running August 31 to November 13), there will be 30 “marketplaces” serving international food and wine pairings and 32 musical acts in this year’s Eat to the Beat concert series. Taking place in the America Gardens Theater nightly during the festival at 5:30pm, 6:45pm and 8pm, each concert features an approximately 30-minute set with acts varying in genres from pop to rock and everything in between. In addition to the 11 new acts that are making their first appearance, many familiar faces are returning, like Sister Hazel, Hanson and Boyz II Men.
New acts include: The Hooters (American rock band from Philadelphia), Baha Men (Bahamian band famous for “Who Let the Dogs Out”), Lauren Alaina (runner-up on Season 10 of American Idol), Mark Wills (country music artist), American Authors (rock band from NYC), Devon Allman (founder and leader of Honeytribe), Postmodern Jukebox (jazz and pop collective), 10,000 Maniacs (alternative rock band), Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G, Blue October (alternative rock band) and new wave/pop British band Squeeze. The expanded festival not only means more days to eat and drink around the world, but also more opportunities to check out your favorite groups. While the food and drinks come at a cost, the concerts are included with admission to the park. Plan ahead to guarantee your seat in the theater, as lines get long .
