Guests to Disney’s Magic Kingdom ® lately have noticed quite a few changes and additions to the new Fantasyland area, especially the Storybook Circus section. Making strides since it first went under construction last year, the new area recently took down the construction walls around two of its remodeled attractions and only a few days ago began letting the public experience the new magic.

In mid June, guests were treated to a new cool off water spot - the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak station where kids of all ages and adults could take a break from the blazing heat and soak up the water that’s squirted out at them from several circus animals. The centerpiece of the water play area is the locomotive from “Dumbo” that pulls boxcars filled with animals including giraffes, elephants, monkeys, camels and more, all of which enjoy throwing water on you, and if it’s a hot day you’ll enjoy too.

And to make you feel like you’re really on a locomotive, the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak also offers sound effects like the engine chugging and the steam building up before water explodes onto screaming kids and some adults.

If you want to experience more Dumbo, than you need to check out the upgraded “Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride, also in the new Fatnasyland area of Magic Kingdom ®. One of Disney’s staple rides, Dumbo the Flying Elephant has been spreading the magic since Walt Disney World ® opened and now the popular ride has doubled its fun by adding a second flying Dumbo that rides alongside the original, allowing more people to enjoy a flight with the famous elephant. One side of the Dumbo ride has been operating since mid-March and guests can now enjoy both elephants on their next visit to Disney ®.

Both flying elephants are joined by a new indoor queue that is revolutionizing the way park guest’s wait in line for a ride. Shaped like a circus Big Top, the Dumbo the Flying Elephant queue lets kids enjoy a trip to the circus with plenty of games and interactive toys to play with while the parents enjoy comfortable chairs and air-conditioning – all while you wait to board your “flight.”

And for those of us who don’t like to wait, even if there are fun games to keep us entertained, you can now seek out a FastPass for the Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Guests who choose a FastPass for the ride will bypass the Big Top queue and go straight to the ride.
