LEGOLAND Florida is kicking off Fire Prevention Week with the first Firefighter Friday today! Visitors can learn fire safety and have fun with activities throughout the day.

This year’s Firefighter Friday theme is: Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere. Kids will learn how to look for places a fire could start, listening for the sound of a smoke alarm and learning ways out of every room that will help them in a fire emergency.

During today’s event, guests can take part in several fire rescue tests and activities including:

Bring the Heat at NFPA Fire Rescue Academy: Test your firefighting skills at Fire Rescue Academy. Families will be timed to see how long it takes them to put out a fire.

Assemble the Bricks: What’s a LEGOLAND event without bricks? Help build giant LEGO City Firefighters out of thousands of LEGO Bricks.

Extinguish the Fires: Fires are blazing throughout Miniland USA. Help LEGO City firefighters by locating where the flames are coming from so they can better extinguish the fires.

You’ll also have the chance to meet LEGO City Firefighter Max and other special heroes. Activities take place from 11-4 in Mainland USA and LEGO City.
