Movies Under The Stars
Many of the Disney Resort hotels on property offer fun flicks under the beautiful Florida sky! Let the resort pick the movie while you just kick back and relax after a long day at the parks. Movies will range from Disney classics to Disney Channel Original Movies, but it’s sure to be fun for the whole family!
Each resort is on a different schedule, so ask the hotel concierge for a movie schedule for the resort you’re visiting. Although these movie nights take place at Disney resorts, they are open to any guests of Walt Disney World. So, after your dinner reservation at a Disney Resort Hotel, feel free to stick around and see if the movie of the night is one you’d like to see!
Live Concerts
Epcot is the place for all thing’s festival fun at Walt Disney World resort. Throughout the year there are four different festivals that take place, and with each festival comes live performances! You can catch complimentary live concerts several times a day with artists like Simple Plan, Baha Men, Sugar Ray, and more. Just check the festival calendar to see which live performers will be there during your vacation!
Over the summer, this Epcot concert space is currently occupied by the Guardians of the Galaxy -- Awesome Mix Live! Concert. Jam out to timeless hits from the 70’s and 80’s with some of your favorite Guardians before the concert ends on August 18, 2019!
Disney Springs
Disney Springs is your Walt Disney World destination for shopping and dining fun. One great thing about Disney Springs is that parking is absolutely free! After a busy week in the park, guests can wind down by visiting Disney Springs for a few hours and doing some window shopping. Although there’s a lot of tempting shopping and dining options, it’s very easy to just enjoy the atmosphere without spending anything at all!
The Marketplace area of Disney Springs has a splash pad for kids to cool off and sometimes even a DJ hosting a fun dance party. Take a walk over to Ghirardelli to try some free chocolate samples! Most nights in Disney Springs there can be live entertainment found on stage near World of Disney and also around the Town Center area near the shops. While it’s easy to spend some money at Disney’s shopping and dining district, there is still plenty to do that doesn’t cost anything!
Resort Hop
One of the best ways to experience Walt Disney World resort without spending any extra money is resort hopping. When you resort hop, you’re visiting different Disney Resort hotels on property! Each resort has its own theme and activities that make it stand out from the others, so visiting a few over time could be a fun way to see even more of Walt Disney World.
With a ride on the monorail, guest could stop at Disney’s Polynesian Village, Disney’s Contemporary, and Disney’s Grand Floridian in no time! While all year round these resorts have their own pools and themes to explore, the holiday season is the best time to resort hop. At Christmas time, each resort is decked out in its own theming with some featuring larger than life gingerbread displays! It’s fun to compare each resort’s trees, trimmings, lights and decorations.
