Get a taste of what Busch Gardens Tampa used to be like with the return of free beer!
When the theme park first opened in 1959, it had a Hospitality House offering visitors free beer to showcase owner Anheuser-Busch’s products. The promotion ended in 2009 when the Blackstone Group purchased the park. But we’re excited to announce its back!
In 2019, guests 21 and over can enjoy two complimentary 7-ounce beers at the Garden Gate Cafe, the former Hospitality House, or at the Serengeti Overlook Pub. The promotion, which was brought back briefly this past summer, is in celebration of the park’s 60th anniversary.
The #YearofFreeBeer is just one of many ways the park is celebrating its anniversary. Visitors can enjoy 52 weeks of events including Real Music Real Masters, which runs now through March 16 and includes music from the 1950s to today. The lineup includes Arrival from Sweden: The Music of ABBA, Thomas McClary: The Commodores Experience, Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone, and more including entertainment like Ballroom With a Twist.
Other fun events throughout 2019 include Safari of Fun Kids’ Weekends, Food & Wine Festival, Jack Hanna Weekend, Summer Nights, Bier Fest and more.
Additionally, the year will also bring a brand-new roller coaster to Busch Gardens. Florida’s tallest launch coaster, Tigris is slated to open in spring. Stay tuned for more details.
