You’ve never been to Universal Orlando without your kids but maybe you should. The Orlando theme park offer plenty of fun things just for adults. So many in fact that you can easily make it a weekend getaway. Here are 7 fun things to do for grownups at Universal Orlando:

Ride Roller Coasters
On of our favorite things to do at Universal without the kids is ride roller coasters. You read that right. We can’t visit Universal without doing that ad when we don’t have the kids in tow we can ride all of the scary, speedy, heart-racing ones we want. The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Skull Island: Reign of Kong at Islands of Adventure are two of our favorites and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at Universal Studios is always a blast.

Drink
There is nothing more adult than enjoying a drink and Universal Orlando has a bar at just about every turn. Here are a few of our favorite places to enjoy an adult beverage:
Duff Brewery Garden
Finnegan’s Bar and Grill
Backwater Bar/Confisco Grille Hog’s Head
The Watering Hole
Hog’s Head

CityWalk
After a day in the park, head to Universal’s CityWalk for some adult night life. The entertainment district is home to several bars, nightclubs and entertainment just for grownups. Rock the night away at Hard Rock Live. Show off your singing skills at CityWalk’s Rising Star or party into the morning hours at Pat O’Brien’s.

Velvet Sessions at Hard Rock Hotel
Sometimes the adult fun comes at one of Universal’s many hotels like Hard Rock Hotel. On select nights you can party with a rockstar doing Velvet Sessions, Orlando’s only rock ’n roll cocktail party, this event includes complimentary themed cocktails, finger foods and access to a concert with a world-renowned musician.

Wine Riffs
The Hard Rock Hotel also offers the fun Wine Riffs. Each Wine Riff event pairs the vintages of a featured winery with an elegant multi-course meals and a DJ who spins a custom soundtrack. It’s not like any other wine tasting you’ve ever experienced.

Halloween Horror Nights
If you’re in the park in the fall, Halloween Horror Nights is a must-do adult event. Ghost, guess and goblins roam the park for images that will haunt your dreams. This year, the park will be haunted by the best 80’s horror flicks including a haunted house on Netflix’s Stranger Things and original haunts from Universal like Universal Monsters.

Enjoy a Wellness Activity
If you’re making a weekend out of it and staying on-site (which you totally should) make sure you take advantage of some of the Universal resorts’ loads of wellness offerings.  Enjoy activities like in-room yoga at Hard Rock Hotel or enjoy some pampering at the Mandara Spa at Loews Portofino Hotel.
