Walt Disney World resort is known as the Most Merriest Place on Earth this time of the year, and with so much holiday cheer it’s not hard to imagine why! One of the most iconic parts of Walt Disney World this time of the year is its many gingerbread displays across property. From quaint to life-sized, you’ll be in awe as you experience each gingerbread work of art! Here is the ultimate guide to gingerbread displays at Walt Disney World resort!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Our tour begins at Disney’s Beach Club Resort near Epcot. In this resort’s lobby you’ll find a life-size gingerbread carousel that’s completely edible! Made from gingerbread, chocolate, and honey, this iconic spinning carousel is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Themed to Peter Pan, each of the horses represents a character from the film! Keep an eye out for 20 different Hidden Mickeys that can be found throughout the carousel.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn features a miniature version of its boardwalk in the lobby during the holiday season! This year the display features the BoardWalk Bakery, Trattoria Al Forno, The Flying Fish, the ESPN Club, and more. Each gingerbread location is decorated with themed Christmas trees outside of the locations! Although this is one of the smaller displays on property, the level of detail involved in this piece is worth the visit alone.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Ten years ago, Disney’s Contemporary Resort put out its very first Gingerbread Castle display! One decade later, we’re still obsessing over this fun and simple holiday icon. The display features a gingerbread Cinderella Castle, Prince Charming, Cinderella, and Fairy Godmother. There are also 9 hidden Frozen and “it’s a small world” details and 10 Hidden Mickeys for the 10th anniversary! Find this gingerbread masterpiece on the fourth floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The most famous of the Walt Disney World gingerbread displays is the life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This 14-ft tall gingerbread is completely surrounded by poinsettias and features 21 Hidden Mickeys! There’s also a gingerbread shop inside of the house that offers an array of holiday treats for sale including some exclusive to this location. This gingerbread house is located in the lobby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and it’s a must do for any holiday goer at Walt Disney World resort!
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
If you’re interested in a more traditional gingerbread display, you’ll want to check out Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. Although small in size, this gingerbread village is pretty impressive! It features a carousel, a horse stable, a post office, a church, and of course a gingerbread house. In addition to the display, guests can purchase holiday snacks and souvenirs! Don’t forget to swing by the Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort lobby to experience this display for yourself.
