When it comes to celebrating Christmas in Orlando, you can’t miss out on Walt Disney World’s signature holiday event, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This special ticketed event is full of enchanting holiday fun. You’ll want to get the most out of your experience by taking advantage of these exclusive activities!
The party starts at 7 p.m., but with your Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket, you can get into the park at 4 p.m. and capture a few photos or even squeeze in a couple of rides. If you’re already in Magic Kingdom, you can snag your wristband for the event at the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor and Mickey’s PhilharMagic (make sure you have your party ticket with you!), which will allow you to avoid having to go all the way back to the main entrance.
Make sure you do head to the VIP entrance at some point, though, and snag your first free cookie (among many) for the night. The entrance can be found right behind Tony’s Town Square restaurant. After you grab your delicious cookie, there are some fun photo-op spots with props, so be sure to take advantage of these! A special Christmas merchandise kiosk can also be found at the VIP entrance as well as other select areas.
Main street décor and snow
As you make your way to special meet-and-greets of characters dressed in their holiday best, be sure to take a moment to indulge in all the holiday décor around the parks. Before the parade and at the end of the party, there is special “snowfall” on Main Street (also known as “snoap,” because it’s made of soap bubbles) exclusively at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
Celebrate the spirt of the season with this spectacular parade. Give yourself some time during the activities to grab a spot on Main Street for this show, as you’ll want to see all the characters in their Christmas best up close! If front row isn’t a priority for you, then come to the show whenever and you’ll be sure to still get a great view! You don’t want to miss Santa!
A Frozen Holiday Wish
Be sure to stop by the castle to see Elsa transform Cinderella’s Castle into a frozen spectacle! Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf join Elsa in this festive show as she uses her powers to make it feel more like winter. This show occurs twice nightly during the party.
