It’s the end of an era for Epcot. The Walt Disney World park has announced that its nightly fireworks show IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will be ending next year.

The Disney Parks Live Entertainment team is already working on new nighttime thrills to debut immediately after the conclusions of IllumiNations in summer 2019.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth debuted at the park in 1999 as part of the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration. Since then it has entertained millions of guests in the World Showcase Lagoon with its incredible music, spectacular fireworks, fire torches and engaging story.

The all-new nighttime firework’s spectacular coming to Epcot will join a slew of other changes at the park including the previously announced Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster attraction, a Ratatouille - inspired attraction at World Showcase, a new table-service restaurant adjacent to Mission: SPACE and much more.

Stay tuned for more details on the year-long celebration of IllumiNations as well as more info on the upcoming nighttime fun coming to Epcot. In the meantime you can enjoy the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival with discounted Walt Disney World tickets here on Best of Orlando.
