SeaWorld Orlando is kicking off the new year with the all-new Orca Encounter show at Shamu Stadium. This entertaining and educational new show will help guests learn about the role killer whales play in the ocean's ecosystem.

The new Orca Encounter show showcases behaviors the animals exhibit in the wild, the importance of conservation to their habitat and animal welfare practices at SeaWorld. You'll learn about the physical attributes of these majestic animals, including blowholes and dorsal fins and their uses, their hunting techniques and other unique behaviors.

"This educational presentation reflects our company's mission to inspire people and protect the animals and wild wonders of our world through education, research, animal rescue and conservation," says Dr. Chris Dold, Chief Zoological Officer for SeaWorld.

While the new show focuses on educational aspects and how we can help to conserve the natural habitats of these animals, there's still plenty of room for some fun animal antics. The infamous splash zones continue to provide plenty of drenching to audience members seated in the front rows, and there are opportunities for audience participation during the new 23-minute program.

The new show has replaced One Ocean, which originally debuted back in 2011. Orca Encounter is part of the "continuing evolution of SeaWorld shows" says Dennis Speigel, CEO of International Theme Park Services. As one of the world’s largest animal rescue and rehabilitation organizations, SeaWorld's mission is to inspire guests to learn about and protect animals and their natural habitats through meaningful and memorable experiences.

You can experience the all-new Orca Encounter show now, as well as other new additions to the park including the exciting Infinity Falls water raft ride and the all-new Sesame Street Land. Plus, don't miss the upcoming Ice Breaker launched roller coaster opening in spring 2020. Be sure to get your discount tickets to SeaWorld Orlando right here for the best deals around!
