Universal Orlando is about to make going to the movies terrifying. The Orlando theme park recently announced Slaughter Sinema as the next original house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Park guests will come face-to-face with a mashup of B-list movie monsters and creatures from the 1980’s as they enter the local drive-in movie theater. Movie trailers of the horror that awaits inside the double feature plays on television screens, and the smell of popcorn brings the realization that guests are suddenly in a movie theater snack bar.

Once inside the Slaughter Sinema house, guests will find themselves hunted by werewolf bikers; navigating a “bloody, gut-strewn” pumpkin patch; and running from murderous barbers all while trying to avoid becoming eaten by alien cannibals, a swamp yeti and creatures with too many teeth.

Slaughter Sinema is the fourth of the 2018 houses announced and the first with original content from Universal Creative. Previously announced mazes include one based on Netflix’s Stranger Things, the 1986 film Trick ‘r Treat and Dead Exposure: Patient Zero

Halloween Horror Nights will feature 10 haunted houses this year. There will also be five scare zones and a stage show from the Academy of Villains group for the third consecutive year. Stay tuned for more details.

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights between September 14 and November 3.
