July is here which means that the start of Food and Wine Festival season is right around the corner! The 24th Epcot International Food and Wine Festival begins on August 29, 2019 and this exciting 87-day event can’t get here quick enough. What’s new to the festival line up? Let’s cover the latest Disney announcements!
Appleseed Orchard Marketplace
This new marketplace will be located in the Canada pavilion near Le Cellier Steakhouse. While the theater where the “O Canada!” film takes place is upgrading its projection-system and refreshing the film with new footage, this area is transforming into a new festival destination. It will offer an exciting variety of ciders, craft brews, wines, and lite bites! Guests can pair apple-inspired beers, cocktails, and ciders like the Apple Blossom Sky with a Charcuterie and Cheese. For a kid-friendly option, Appleseed Orchard Marketplace will offer the Frozen Apple Pie drink! All brews, wines, and ciders will be offered as flights or individually.
The Alps Marketplace
Another new global marketplace to keep an eye out for is The Alps Marketplace. This new kitchen will over sweet and savory Swiss-inspired dishes! Enjoy tastes like Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons, and Baguettes or Venison Stew with Crushed Potatoes. Pair these dishes with a refreshing Frozen Rosé or wine flight for a perfect bite!
Emile’s Fromage Montage
This year families can sample an array of delicious cheeses with Emile’s Fromage Montage. Taste your way through the festival’s various dishes serving up cheese in inventive ways! Guests who purchase any five cheese dishes from the official Global Marketplaces listed in the Festival Passport will want to make sure they collect a stamp for each cheese dish purchased. After collecting all five stamps, bring the stamped Festival Passport to Shimmering Sips and you’ll receive a complimentary specialty cheesecake available just for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!

While tasting the dishes you’ll even learn how to prepare them for your next tailgate party.
