The wait is over! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open ahead of schedule on August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The early debut is because people just can’t wait for the new, immersive land and we can totally understand why! Here are 5 reasons we can’t wait for August 29:

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
On opening day of phase one of the land, guests will be able to live their own Star Wars story and take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
The most ambitious, immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined that will put guests in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance will open in phase two. We’re not quite sure when that will be, but we do know it will be amazing.

Star Wars Characters
One of the most exciting things about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is all the colorful characters you will be able to meet. There will be aliens, droids, and humanoids. You’ll even spot characters that have only existed in animation like the Loth Cat. Familiar faces will include Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, BB-8 and even Nien Nunb and Hondo Ohnaka.

Food and Drink
Very little has been released about Star Wars” Galaxy’s Edge’s food and drink, but we do know that you will be able to find Blue Milk, the drink made famous by Luke Skywalker in Star Wars IV: A New Hope. Additionally, there will be plenty of places to eat and drink including local Black Spire Outpost watering hole Oga’s Cantina, where you can find adult drinks, mocktails and other beverages, including Blue Milk. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo will offer exotic tastes created by Chef Strong Tuggs. Otto Toasters is run by former smelter droid 8D-J8. The establishment will serve up roasted meats. The Milk Stand will offer blue milk direct from Bubo Wamba Family Farms and Kat Saka’s Kettle all serve a blend of sweet, savory and spicy popcorn.

Extra Magic Hour
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be included in Extra Magic Hours. This means, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort you will be able to access the land for an extra hour before the park officially opens.
