Walt Disney World recently announced the nighttime show Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be undergoing some big changes this summer. Along with getting a new name, the show will be adding characters from Disney animation and Disneynature films, as well as Disney music to its score.
Since its introduction more than two years ago, Rivers of Light has captivated Disney’s Animal Kingdom guests with illuminated lantern floats, grand theatrical imagery, a soaring musical score and innovative special effects. This summer, the next chapter of the show will unfold with the debut of Rivers of Light: We Are One.
The new show will introduce even more stunning imagery and animal characters, along with a colorful tapestry of classic moments from Disney animation, to “express our connection with animals and the emotions and milestones we all share in our journey through the great circle of life.”
The music for Rivers of Light: We Are One weaves together the current score with an arrangement of familiar Disney themes.
Rivers of Light: We Are One debuts at the Discovery River Amphitheater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Memorial Day Weekend 2019.
