The summer months are just beginning, but before we know it Walt Disney World will transform into the Most Merriest Place on Earth this winter! Each area of the Walt Disney World resort celebrates the holiday season in its own way. Here are some of the festive offerings you can look forward to this winter!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a must do for those visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season! This winter Magic Kingdom will be offering 23 nights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party from November 8, 2019 until December 22, 2019. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will feature festive holiday entertainment including Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show, a Totally Tomorrowland Christmas, and an all-new holiday fireworks show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.
This new fireworks show will celebrate the magic of Christmas through a medley of beloved holiday songs. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will feature festive favorites like “Deck The Halls,” “Joy To The World,” “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” and “Up On The House Top.” Tickets are already available for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party so grab yours and start planning your holiday trip to Walt Disney World!
Walt Disney World’s second theme park gives guests a peek into different holiday cultures each winter, and this tradition still rings true in 2019. Epcot will be home to the Festival of the Holidays from November 29, 2019 until December 30, 2019. This festival features holiday-inspired outdoor kitchens, festive entertainment, and storytellers around the 11 nations of World Showcase.
Epcot is also home to the popular Candlelight Processional, a nightly event during the holiday season that features celebrity narrators, a 50-piece orchestra, and a full choir! Some of the celebrity narrators for the 2019 season have already been announced, and the list will only continue to grow as the holiday season gets closer.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This holiday season will be the first with the all-new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge finally open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The newest land in the park may be the perfect place to find a gift for the Star Wars lovers in your life! In addition to this new land, guests can still expect to see the Sunset Seasons Greetings show projected nightly onto the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Along with this continuous display comes “snow” fall and delicious holiday drinks and treats available for purchase around the park.
The nighttime spectacular Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will also return this holiday season! This festive show features fireworks, special effects, amazing projections on the Chinese Theatre, and of course an array of holiday tunes. Lastly, guests will be excited to see Olaf join the For the First Time in Forever: Frozen Sing-Along show for a special holiday finale that you can only catch during that festive time of year.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Holiday cheer will be in full swing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this year! Starting on November 8, 2019, as guests enter Discovery Island they will find themselves in a celebration of winter for the first time in the park’s two-decade history. The area will be filled with life-sized animal puppets of winter creatures. The rooftops will be decorated with luminaries in animal shapes and bird lanterns.
As the sun sets, guests can gather around the Tree of Life for an all-new series of wintry tales along with a heartwarming holiday musical score. These beautiful projections will light up the park’s icon in the night sky, and in between the Tree of Life awakenings the tree will shimmer and shine with the spirit of the holidays.
Disney’s shopping and dining district loves being a part of the holiday celebration each year at the Walt Disney World resort! One of their most popular offerings is the Christmas Tree Trail, featuring an array of Disney-themed trees based on characters, attractions, and movies. Guests can also meet Old St. Nick at Santa’s Chalet until December 24, 2019. Even Stitch is getting into the spirit of the season with his very own Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt! Search around Disney Springs to find where Experiment 626 is hiding this season.
Disney Springs is also the perfect place to shop for those last-minute gifts on your list! With an array of brand-name stores as well as unique Disney offerings, you’re sure to find something for any Disney lover in your life. Holiday decorations and entertainment at Disney Springs will be available from November 8, 2019 until January 5, 2020, so there’s plenty of time to take in the spirit of the season!
Walt Disney World is the place to be when it comes to celebrating the holidays!
