A new BBQ joint is opening soon at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World and we’re here to tell you all about it! Disney recently released a first look at the menu for Roundup Rodeo BBQ, a new western-themed family-style restaurant in Toy Story Land. Roundup Rodeo BBQ opens on March 23, 2023, so let’s take a look at some of the menu items you can expect to enjoy in Andy’s Backyard!

What’s On The Menu?
Your meal at Roundup Rodeo BBQ begins with the Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits, served with a sweet pepper jelly. Next, there are three family-style salads for your table to share, Tomato Salad, Rex’s Romaine and Kale Salad, and Watermelon Salad. The plant-based Tomato Salad features sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickled red onions garnished with fresh dill and tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette. Rex’s Romaine and Kale Salad is a salad made with kale and romaine lettuce, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and green apples, tossed in green goddess dressing. Last but not least, is the plant-based Watermelon Salad with cubed watermelon slices garnished with freshly torn mint leaves.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ does not disappoint in the house-smoked meats department! There are four house-smoked meats served family style - BBQ Chicken - with Style!, Buttercup’s Beef Brisket, Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs, and There’s a Sausage in My Boot. Also available upon request, three savory plant-based alternatives - IMPOSSIBLE “Rib Chop,” Oven-roasted “Bratwurst,and Slow-smoked Cauliflower. Your meal will also feature an assortment of sweet, traditional, and spicy BBQ sauces to sample!

Buttercup’s Beef Brisket features hand-sliced beef brisket that’s been smoked and slow-cooked. BBQ Chicken - with Style! is chicken brined for 48 hours, rubbed in Roundup Rodeo BBQ’s secret spice, and smoked to perfection. Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs are fall-off-the-bone pork ribs that were slow-cooked for hours in the restaurant’s onsite smokehouse. There’s A Sausage in My Boot, a spiced pork sausage fire-grilled over a live oak. The plant-based offerings include the IMPOSSIBLE “Rib Chop” seasoned with spices, roasted, then glazed with sweet BBQ sauce and skewed on a sugar cane “bone,” Oven-roasted “Bratwurst” sliced “bratwurst” that’s oven-roasted to tender and juicy perfection, and Slow-smoked Cauliflower that’s topped with crunchy walnut gremolata and sweet harissa drizzle.

Let’s talk sides at Roundup Rodeo BBQ! This new restaurant offers eight unique sides and you can choose four for your table. The options include Buckin’ Baked Beans, Campfire- Roasted Vegetables, Cowpoke Corn on the Cob, Force Field Fried Pickles, The Married Spuds, Mean Old Potato Salad, Slinky Doooooooooog Mac & Cheese, and Veggie Slaw.

Buckin’ Baked Beans is one of the plant-based sides and it’s a traditional BBQ favorite! Campfire-Roasted Vegetables, another plant-based side, is a variety of roasted seasonal vegetables - ask your server what the vegetable mix for the day is. Cowpoke Corn on the Cob is not your average corn side! This corn cob is grilled and seasoned with cilantro, cotija cheese, chili-lime spice blend, and lime juice. Force Field Fried Pickles are jumbo pickle spears coated with a dill-flavored breading and fried. The Married Spuds are loaded potato barrels featuring cheese sauce, seasoned BBQ spices, and green goddess dressing. Mean Old Potato Salad is a classic potato salad made homestyle with red-skinned potatoes. Slinky Doooooooooog Mac & Cheese is made with spiral pasta in a creamy house-made cheese sauce and topped with crumbled cheddar crackers. Last, the plant-based Veggie Slaw features crunchy shredded veggie slaw, that’s another classic BBQ favorite.

We hope you’ve saved room for dessert because you’ve got five delicious treats to choose from -  Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie, Cupcake a la Forky, Goat’s Apple Pie, Gruff’s Peach-Strawberry Pie, or Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake. Your table will get their choice of one dessert option for the table.

Billy’s Chocolate Silk Pie features layers of graham cracker crust and silky chocolate mousse topped with chantilly cream in mini mason jars. The Cupcake a la Forky is a classic chocolate cupcake with a chocolate ganache center topped with graham cracker buttercream and a sugar cookie Forky. Goat’s Apple Pie is a mini pie of tart apples and warm pie spices under a crumble crust. Gruff’s Peach-Strawberry Pie is a plant-based dessert offering for Roundup Rodeo BBQ guests. Enjoy sweet peaches and tart strawberry filling topped with whipped topping. Last, the Lemon and Blueberry Cheesecake is a mini cheesecake topped with blueberry and lemon flavors.

For guests ages 21 and older, there are Grown-up Craft Cocktails like the Snake Eye Margarita, Chocolate with a Grown-up Twist, Frozen Peanut Butter and Jelly, The Rodeo Mule, and more. Hard ciders, beer, and wines by the glass are also available. Roundup Rodeo BBQ also offers three mocktails - Frozen Cocoa, Molly’s Frozen Iced Tea, and Partysaurus Tex.

This long-awaited table service restaurant will be opening in just a few weeks, on March 23, 2023. We can’t wait to experience Roundup Rodeo BBQ next time we’re in Andy’s Backyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
