The only thing better than having five days at the Universal Orlando Resort is having five days at the Universal Orlando Resort but only paying for two! This incredible deal gives you the opportunity to visit all three parks for a total of five days, any way that you want!
Now it’s time to plan the ultimate five-day Universal Orlando vacation. Our No. 1 piece of advice is to plan your time out so that you don’t have to do the parks all day, every day. With five days of access, you can stretch out your time and really be able to soak up all that the parks have to offer without feeling rushed to do everything at one time.
Another big tip we offer for anyone doing a Universal vacation is to stay on property. Staying at one of the on-site hotels gives you the opportunity to access the parks an hour earlier than everyone staying elsewhere, and it’s easy to get to any of the parks or Universal CityWalk, as they are all connected by water taxi, shuttle service or walking paths. Also, three of the Universal hotels – Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Hotel – offer guests the chance to get to the fun faster with the Universal Express Unlimited pass, free of charge. That means you will skip the lines at the most popular attractions and maximize your fun in the theme parks!
Universal Studios Florida – The most popular attraction at Universal Studios Florida is Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. We highly recommend visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley first thing, as this is still the most popular part of the park. Tackle a few of the roller coasters, including Revenge of the Mummy and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit before ending the day on the new Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction.
Universal CityWalk – After an exciting day of coasters, take a spin around Universal CityWalk. It’s your first night, so enjoy a nice dinner, wait in the long line for a VooDoo Doughnut and then sing your heart out at Pat O Brien’s!
Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Once again, we suggest hitting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade as your first stop. Here, get a butterbeer and experience Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey to get your day started. From there, venture out to The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Doctor Doom’s Fearfall and The Amazing Adventures or Spider-Man. Before you go back to your hotel, hit a couple of the water rides, Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls and Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges.
Blue Man Group – After another day in the parks, get off your feet with a showing of Blue Man Group at CityWalk. Dare to live in color as Blue Man Group brings heart-pounding percussion, comedy, live music and over-the-top theatrics to the Universal Orlando Resort! Whether you are in the “splash zone” in the first few rows or at the back of the theatre, there is no bad seat in the house for this one hour and 45-minute minute performance. Guests at Blue Man Group can expect a mixture of different elements and acts – from the heart-pumping percussion sections where the blue men make music with everything from drums to pipes, to the unexpected times of comedy, you will be easily captivated from the first paint-splattered splash of the drum until the last!
Universal’s Volcano Bay – Take a break from the theme parks to explore Universal’s new water park, Volcano Bay! This tropical oasis is home to everything from thrills to relaxation, giving everyone in the family an opportunity to have a day of fun in the signature Florida sun.
Nice dinner at a resort – There are countless dining options at the Universal Orlando hotels, but after a long day in the sun, make a reservation and get dressed up for a night out. Take your family to the Wantilan Luau at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, enjoy a romantic dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando’s The Palm or enjoy an Italian feast at Mama Della’s Ristorante!
Universal Studios Florida – You’ve had a day away from the theme parks, so it’s time to experience everything you missed the first day! Don’t forget to check out Shrek 4-D, the MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack, The Simpsons Ride and The Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. More than 10 shows also are available daily at this park, so be sure to allocate your time wisely!
Resort time – Whether you’re staying on or off property, enjoy a night at your hotel! Go swimming, check out the arcade or activities (particularly for youth) or simply take an afternoon break before returning back to one of theme parks at night!
Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Your final day has arrived, and it’s time to end with a bang! This park is known for its big thrills, so be sure to check out what you didn’t see the first day while also repeating some of your favorites from day two! Enjoy a sit-down lunch in the park at one of the many restaurants, including Mythos Restaurat, Three Broomsticks or Confisco Grille.
Farewell dinner – For the last dinner of your vacation, you have a ton of options! Hit up a character dinner in a park before checking out the nightly fireworks, go back to a resort and have another nice dinner or hit CityWalk for one more meal before dancing the night away or seeing a movie. The options are endless at the Universal Orlando Resort!
