Universal Orlando is celebrating 25 years of New Orleans style excitement at this year's Mardi Gras celebration. Universal's Mardi Gras will run daily from February 1st through April 2nd in 2020. Your family will love the nightly parade, authentic Cajun cuisine, and of course the live music straight from Bourbon Street every day and free concerts on select evenings. And it's all happening at Universal Studios Florida!
Some of the biggest names in music will take the Music Plaza Stage on select evenings throughout the event—and these concerts are included in your theme park admission. This year's headliners include world-renowned DJ and producer, Marshmello, the multi-platinum star behind global smash-hits "Despacito" and "Échame La Culpa," Luis Fonsi, and the best-selling girl group of all time, TLC, known for mega hits like "Waterfalls" and "No Scrubs." Plus, you can catch the real sounds of New Orleans every day with bands performing live in The French Quarter Courtyard. Of course it wouldn't be Mardi Gras without the parade—and the beads! This year's event will feature an all-new "Treasures of the Deep" theme, with six new floats inspired by mystical creatures of the deep. There will be 12 incredible floats in total for 2020, all engineered by Kern Studios, the same company that has been creating floats for the iconic New Orleans celebration since 1947. Your family can catch the Mardi Gras parade every night during the event, with colorful floats, talented dancers, stilt performers and never-ending beads.
Enjoy the tastes of Bourbon Street with authentic Cajun cuisine at The French Quarter Courtyard. Bring your appetite because Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando is always serving up delicious gumbo, jambalaya, po boys and more. Plus, this year's event is introducing the new "Carnival Around the Universe" tasting tent, with dishes inspired by carnival events from around the world. And the Bayou Boil is back this year, perfect for all you crawfish lovers out there. Or, you can grab a tasting lanyard to sample a little bit of everything!
All of the Mardi Gras fun and music is included in your regular theme park admission. The event is scheduled to run from February 1st through April 2nd in 2020.
