Spring has sprung, which means most Orlando water parks are now open for splashes! Whether you want to enjoy a LEGO-themed water experience or water rides surrounded by animals, here are the Orlando water parks now open or soon-to-be open for the season:
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon -
Enjoy a storm of fun at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
this spring. The water park excites with thrilling water slides, speedy raft rides, a children’s play area, giant wave pool and more. But perhaps the most exciting thing about Typhoon Lagoon is the new Miss Adventure Falls! This new family attraction follows Miss Mary Oceaneer, a treasure hunter whose ship crash landed at Typhoon Lagoon after a rogue storm. The ride lets you experience her many worldly treasures and adventures.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach -
In the hot Orlando spring and summer days nothing is more refreshing than cool water. Disney’s Blizzard Beach
gives you that and more with frosty fun the entire family will enjoy. The one-time ski resort has melted into a watery wonderland with waterslides, raft rides and a one-acre wave pool that will keep you cool all day long.
LEGOLAND Florida Water Park -
Splash your way through LEGO-themed fun at LEGOLAND Florida Water Park
. This park has over 20 water slides, a LEGO Wave Pool, Build-A-Raft-River where you can build your own LEGO raft, a DUPLO toddler play area and much more splashy fun!
Aquatica – SeaWorld Orlando’s
water park combines the thrills of a water park with the animal encounters you’ve come to expect from the animal park. Aquatica
is home to such rides as Dolphin Plunge, where you race through an underwater tube alongside Commerson’s Dolphins; Walhalla Wave, the family ride that zooms guests through a 6-story maze of twists, turns and tunnels; and Ihu’s Breakaway Falls, the latest thrill ride that includes a watery free-for-all in the tallest, steepest and only multi-drop tower of its kind in Orlando.
Universal’s Volcano Bay -
While not quite open yet, Universal’s
new water themed park, Volcano Bay
will be open in time for the hot summer months. The new park revolves around the fabled Waturi Islands and the Pacific Isle. Guests will enjoy 18 attractions, daring water adventures, peaceful relaxation and a massive volcano situated smack dab in the middle of the park. Volcano Bay will also offer the TapuTapu wearable, which can hold your place in line and reveal surprises throughout. Volcano Bay opens May 25.
