Walt Disney World in the fall of 2019 is all about new experiences. As Disney gears up for its 50th Anniversary in 2021, new rides, restaurants, services and lands are arriving in the parks. Whether you're heading to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, hopping aboard the new Skyliner Gondolas or trying out one of the new restaurants, you'll need this list to make sure you don't miss a thing on your Disney vacation.

The Disney Skyliner Gondola System Opens
The Disney Skyliner Gondola system is set to open in "Fall 2019." Fingers crossed the gondolas could be open by Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening date on Aug 29th. If you want first dibs on this new transportation system the gondola system has stations at Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach Resort so you can get close to the action. They stop both at the International Gateway at Epcot and Hollywood Studios and promise to be fun, fast and a great way to avoid lines at the bus depot.

Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival Aug 29- Nov 23 
With more than 30 Outdoor Kitchens across Epcot, the International Food and Wine Festival brings food to the forefront at Walt Disney World this fall. Be sure to stop by Appleseed Orchard, an all-new kitchen this year featuring all things apple. Try the non-alcoholic Frozen Apple Pie drink or a selection of apple ciders, wine and beers. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Aug 16 - Nov 1 
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party begins August 16th, 2019, introducing a brand new Fireworks Show centered on Mickey and his friends and what happens when they stumble upon a haunted house. And if you're up for something a little more fashionable, Cruella's Halloween Hide-Away dinner package is available at Tony's Restaurant. The villainous menu, and prime viewing for the Boo to You Parade is made complete with a visit by Cruella de Ville herself.

Epcot Forever Opens Oct 1, 2019
Replacing Illuminations after its final run September 30th, Epcot Forever takes place on Crescent Lake and features state of the art technology, a new soundtrack, fireworks and more honoring the diversity of the Worlds music. This show is set to run through 2020.

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Oct 31- Nov 3 
Walt Disney World in the Fall of 2019 has no shortage of events. This runDisney annual event is a runner’s dream! Register here if you're hoping to get in on the action. These races fill up fast. If vacationing these days avoid Epcot during this time if you can help it, as parts of the race and after party happen in Epcot. 

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Opens Aug 29 
The biggest news about Fall 2019 is the early opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. Phasing in the opening of the rides, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is expected to be open on Aug 29th along with a few shops and eateries. This new land also comes with an immersion interactive experience that allows you to interact with the characters, so be sure to open the My Disney Experience App when you get into Star Wars Land to get in on the action.

Coronado Springs Welcomes Three New Restaurants
With the Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower now officially open we get access to an all new rooftop dining experience at Toledo. This new Spanish Tapas, Steak and Seafood Restaurant gives you a signature dining experience with incredible views. Or if you're up for something a little more down to earth you can also head to Three Bridges Bar and Grill. This waterside dining experience takes place at a restaurant connected by the three bridges across Lago Dorado at Coronado Springs. Both restaurants just opened, so make reservations to reserve your seat.

Takumi Tei in Epcot Japan Opens
Epcot welcomes an all new Japanese restaurant just in time for fall!. Takumi Tei features a prix fixe menu featuring seasoned beefs, tofu, Japanese vegetables, sushi and eclectic desserts. Plan to come and stay awhile in these earth-centered dining rooms focused on sharing the Japanese connection to the natural world. It's a truly unique experience you won't find anywhere else. 

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue in Epcot America Opens
Replacing Liberty Inn at the American Adventure Pavilion in Epcot, this new BBQ smokehouse arrives in Epcot this fall. Featuring truly American barbecue focused dishes, this new quick-service restaurant brings a whole new set of flavors to the World Showcase. 

Extra Extra Magic Hours Begin Aug 29 and Nov 2
If traveling to Walt Disney World in the Fall of 2019 get ready for 4 months of very early hours! New and temporary for Fall 2019, the parks are opening EARLIER to help manage the influx of crowds expected for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. Here's the lineup of the early hours across the parks. 

Hollywood Studios
From Aug 29- Aug 31 Hollywood Studios will be open for ALL GUESTS at 6 am. Afterwards Extra Extra Magic Hours will kick in as follows.

Who: Disney Resort and Select Hotel Guests
What: Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land and select attractions will be open

Magic Kingdom
