Spring is in the air and Orlando theme parks are gearing up for the change of season with some fun springtime events. From wine & food festivals to concerts, Mardi Gras parties and more, here’s what to do in Orlando this March:
Walt Disney World
Spring blooms at Walt Disney World this month as Epcot welcomes the 25th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Beginning March 6, guests can enjoy more than 100 topiaries as well as an abundance of food offerings at the outdoor kitchens around World Showcase. Popular kitchens include the Urban Farm Eats, the locally grown Florida Fresh, Japan’s Hanami, and many more. The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival runs through June 3.
Florida’s biggest party is still going strong at Universal Orlando. Throughout March, Universal Studios Florida guests can experience the food, parades, beads and excitement of Bourbon Street during the park’s annual Mardi Gras celebration. The highlight of the celebration is the musical acts. The concert lineup for March includes Sabrina Carpenter, March 2, Becky G March 9, Sean Paul March 10, Steve Miller Band March 16, Ziggy Marley March 17, NF March 23, Pitbull March 24, Bazzi March 30 and Prince Royce March 31.
Set sail on a taste adventure this March with SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival. Now through May 5, sip and sample your way around the world and enjoy international street food traditions as well as live performances by today’s biggest musicians. Bayside Stadium will come alive with such arts as Lifehouse March 2; Cole Swindle March 3; Lee Brice with LOCASH March 9; I Love the 90’s Featuring Vogue, Kind N Play, Rob Loc and Young MC March 10; Bret Michael March 16, and Gente De Zona March 17
Busch Gardens Tampa
Busch Gardens 60 Years - Busch Gardens Tampa turns 60 and guests can celebrate with live music and fireworks with a kickoff party on March 1. The party will also feature a chance to taste some of the new dishes from the upcoming Food & Wine Festival. March 1 also marks the start of new pin trading at the park. The fun begins at 5:30 p..m. at Gwazi Park, followed by the Florida Orchestra performance at 7:00 p.m.. The night will conclude with fireworks at 8:30 p.m.
Special Character Dines - March 2-3 and 9-10, Busch Gardens Tampa will hold special meet and greet dining experiences with your favorite characters. March 2&3, dine with Peppa Pig. March 9 & 10 be a hero with PJ Masks.
Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival - Every weekend from March 16 through April 28 sip and taste incredible food and drink during Busch Gardens 5th annual Food & Wine Festival. Some of the biggest acts in musical entertainment will take to the stage every weekend. March headliners include Daughtry March 16; The Band Perry March 17; 3 Doors Down March 23,;Blue Rodeo, Kathleen Edwards & Fred Eaglesmith Featuring Tif Green March 24; Justin Moore March 30 and El Gran Combo March 31.
