Welcome to 2019! Orlando theme parks are kicking off the New Year with art festivals, Three Kings celebrations, running events and more. Here is what to do in Orlando this January:
Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – Start your year off on the right foot with the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. The running weekend features several foot races including Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, Dopey Challenge, Kids Races, Walt Disney World 5K & 10K, Walt Disney World Half Marathon and the Walt Disney World Marathon. The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend kicks off Jan. 9 - 13, 2019.
Epcot International Festival of the Arts - Tap into your artistic side with the Epcot International Festival of the Arts January 18 - Feb. 25, 2019. The festival celebrates visual, performing and culinary arts. Guests can enjoy gallery exhibits, living statues, artist appearances, and more every day of the week. The highlight of the festival is the Disney on Broadway Concert Series inside the American Gardens Theatre.
Holidays at Universal Orlando - You can still put a little mischief in your merry with Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort. Now through January 6 experience Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, the Grinch in Grinchmas and more.
Busch Gardens Tampa
Three Kings Celebration - Christmas might be over but you can still continue your traditions with Three Kings Celebration at Busch Gardens Tampa. January 5 & 6, the theme park unfolds the famed journey to the town of Bethlehem. The cultural celebration includes Latin traditions, live entertainment honoring the three wise men and Busch Gardens’ twinkling lights. Sesame Street characters will also be on hand for meet and greets.
Real Music Real Masters - Stick around Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on January 7 for the Real Music Real Masters concert series. Listen to incredible artists spanning from the 1950s to today, plus all-new entertainment like Ballroom with a Twist.
Three Kings Celebration - SeaWorld Orlando is hosting their own Three Kings Celebration now through January 6. Families are invited to commemorate the arrival of the Three Wise Men in this celebration. Enjoy some of SeaWorld’s Christmas shows and entertainment like O Wondrous Night and Sea of Trees, as well as authentic festive cuisine and a story-telling with the Three Kings of their wonderous tale of journey.
